Family Therapy
Helping you work through stressful pain points to find common ground and healing.
Do you ever feel disconnected from the people you love the most? Do you often struggle with sharing your thoughts and feelings with your family in a way that they can hear you? When I work with families, I make it my personal mission to make sure each member of the family feels heard. Together we allow everyone’s needs to be addressed and identify what changes or skills can be implemented to create openness and positive communication.
Children communicate their needs and process their experiences through play. It is often difficult to know what your child needs or what they are trying to communicate as they are still learning about the world around them. Through play therapy children are able to learn to express their feelings, develop skills and tools to manage difficult experiences, and support emotional regulation.
Does your teen have a hard time asking for help? Do you feel they are often distracted, struggle with friendships, or struggle to express or navigate their emotions? Therapy can provide a safe space for your teen to talk to a trusted adult where they can learn skills to navigate their emotions, learn to set boundaries and increase communications to advocate for their needs at home and in other settings.
Teens, do you feel like your parents often don't understand what you're going through, feel you have no one to talk to that you can trust, or don't know how to speak up for yourself? I feel the most important part of therapy is building a trusting relationship with your therapist where you can speak freely and can be yourself. Throughout our work together, I can support you in practicing to set boundaries, navigate tough questions, and explore what you want most of out of life.

Parenting is hard. You often might question if your strategies or methods are the best fit for your child. You might also question if a decision is the best thing for you, your child, or your family. Therapy can be a wonderful place to explore strategies to implement with your child, practice activities and interventions to increase the attachment between you and your child and learn how to support your child at their developmental stage.
