Insurance
I am an out of network provider and do not accept insurance. I accept cash, credit cards, and FHA/FSA cards for payments.
Although I am not in network and cannot bill your insurance directly, many insurance plans offer out of network benefits for therapy and you may receive reimbursement for the cost of our sessions. I also offer courtesy billing, which means I will submit your out of network claim on your behalf (rather than giving you a superbill for you to submit yourself), and reimbursement will come directly to you (usually within 1-4 weeks on average) based on how you set up your insurance reimbursements.

You can inquire about your out of network benefits by reaching out to your insurance company (either by calling the number on your card or accessing your health insurance portal).

By structuring my practice as an out of network provider, this provides me the opportunity to have more time committed to you. My session rate includes time I invest in our work outside of our hourly session. This may include: seeking consultation from other professionals in the field, investing in trainings and other resources to offer you, as well as staying up to date on the most accurate research and treatment for you and your goals.
Frequently Asked Questions
about Pricing & Insurance
Do you offer sliding scale rates?

Yes, I do have a limited amount of discounted or sliding scale slots for client's in need and/or college students with limited financial resources. Please inquire if a sliding scale spot is available.

How do I find out if I will be reimbursed for therapy sessions?

If you are unaware of your current insurance coverage, I would recommend calling the number on the back of your insurance and asking about your "Out-of-Network coverage" (Or OON coverage) prior to our consultation.

Questions to ask about Out-of-Network benefits:
- Does my plan cover out of network mental health services (specifically, billing code 90837)?
- What does my out of network benefits cover (for example, for some plans it's a specific amount [e.g., $100] for others its a percentage like 80% of the cost of service).
- Do I have a deductible I have to meet before my out of network benefits begin?
- How much do I have left to meet this deductible?
- How long will it take once the claim is submitted to receive reimbursement?
- Is there specific information you need from my provider for the claim to be accepted?

Do you accept Medicare or Medicaid?

I am not contracted to accept any health insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid plans.
How often will we meet for therapy?

I always recommend when starting therapy for us to meet on a weekly basis if possible. Many of my clients come weekly or bi-weekly depending upon scheduling and financial needs. I require clients at minimum to commit to two sessions per month, as meeting less than that will not be enough time to see progress or make progress towards therapy goals.

What if I am unable to meet for a session?

I have a 48 hour cancellation policy. This means that for any client needing to cancel or reschedule, I allow cancellations and reschedule requests up to 48 hours before your appointment (without any fees or penalties). If a client needs to cancel in under 48 hours, I always wave the fee for the first incident, then charge my full cash rate for cancellations and 50% of my cash rate for reschedule requests if we are able to find another time that works for both of us within the same work week. Please note, cancellations and reschedule fees are not reimbursed by insurance or will be offered a super-bill/submitted to insurance for reimbursement.
