Insurance
I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. I accept cash, credit cards, and FHA/FSA cards for payments.

While I am not in-network, many insurance plans offer Out-of-Network benefits for therapy, which means you may receive reimbursement for the cost of our sessions. I provide super bills that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. This means the reimbursement will come directly to you, usually within 1-4 weeks, depending on your insurance setup. Please use the Mentaya widget below to verify your Out-of-Network coverage.

By operating as an Out-of-Network provider, I can dedicate more time to your care. My session rate reflects not only our time together but also the additional work I invest outside of our sessions. This includes consulting with other professionals, pursuing training and resources to enhance my services, and staying up to date on the latest research and treatment methods to support your goals.

I have provided an insurance verification below to check your Out of Network
benefits before our consultation!

Frequently Asked Questions
about Pricing & Insurance
Do you offer sliding scale rates?

Yes, I always offer four discounted or sliding scale slots for client's in need and/or college students with limited financial resources for a set period of time. Please inquire if a sliding scale spot is currently available.

How do I find out if I will be reimbursed for therapy sessions?

If you are unaware of your current insurance coverage, I would recommend utilizing the insurance verification above, or bycalling the number on the back of your insurance and asking about your "Out-of-Network coverage" (Or OON coverage) prior to our consultation.

Questions to ask about Out-of-Network benefits:
1. Does my plan cover out of network mental health services (specifically, billing code 90837)?
2. What does my out of network benefits cover (for example, for some plans it's a specific amount [e.g., $100] for others its a percentage like 80% of the cost of service).
3. Do I have a deductible I have to meet before my out of network benefits begin? - How much do I have left to meet this deductible?
4. How long will it take once the claim is submitted to receive reimbursement?
5. Is there specific information you need on the Super bill from my provider for the claim to be accepted?

Do you accept Medicare or Medicaid?

I am not contracted to accept any health insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid plans.
How often will we meet for therapy?

I typically recommend meeting weekly for the first four sessions to establish a strong therapeutic relationship and gain clarity on your goals. After this initial period, we can discuss transitioning to bi-weekly sessions if that works better for you. Please note that this is a recommendation, not a requirement. Many clients choose to come weekly or bi-weekly based on their schedules and financial considerations. However, I do require clients to commit to at least two sessions per month, as meeting less frequently may hinder progress toward your therapy goals.

What if I am unable to meet for a session?

I have a 48 hour cancellation policy. This means that for any client needing to cancel or reschedule, I allow cancellations and reschedule requests up to 48 hours before your appointment (without any fees or penalties). If a client needs to cancel in under 48 hours, I always wave the fee for the first incident, then charge my full cash rate for cancellations and 50% of my cash rate for reschedule requests if we are able to find another time that works for both of us within the same work week. Please note, cancellations and reschedule fees are not reimbursed by insurance or will be offered a super-bill/submitted to insurance for reimbursement.
